More exciting news... London Irish Wild Geese are pleased to announce

the completion of their coaching group for the coming season.

Mike Smith will join the team as defence coach. Mike worked with Head Coach, John Lacey at Ealing Trailfinders Academy last season and has previously coached at Harrow RFC. Mike will be studying for UKCC Level 3 coaching award next season.
 
On his appointment Mike said “I’m hugely excited at the prospect of working with the Wild Geese next season. The club clearly has great ambition and I cannot wait to get started. The opportunity to continue working with John along with added bonus of Topsy and Harry was too good a chance to miss”.
 
Matt Lamin will lead the clubs S&C programme. Matt currently works with the London Irish Academy, overseeing the U16’s, U18’s and AASE Strength and Conditioning programs. His appointment will further enhance the connection between the Professional and Amateur clubs.
 
Matt played and studied at Loughborough College and St Mary’s University as well as periods with Melbourne and Bracknell.
 
Matt commented “I am excited to start working with the London Irish Wild Geese, they have big ambitions and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead. Preseason is a hugely important period and its essential we get the foundations in place to support our plans’.
 
On the announcements, Head Coach, John Lacey said “I’m really pleased to have all our coaches now in post. We have a huge amount of planning to do. I’m confident we have a really strong coaching group in place and look forward to bouncing ideas of each other in the coming weeks”

Eddie Fraher,Director of Rugby said “We are hugely excited by the coaching team put together.We are confident that they have the drive and ambitions to match the clubs plan going forward.Along with the ongoing additions to the playing squad we feel we are in a really good place to take the club forward.”
