Its primary function is to make sure anybody in a position of responsibility working with Children or 'Adults at risk' has been through an onboarding process , achieved minimum qualification and is qualified by the Club Safeguarding officer.

Please use the above link to complete the Introduction to Safeguarding (ELearning). England Rugby learning is accessed via GMS. The course is free and once you have completed it, our Safeguarding team will be able to progress your DBS application.

Please ensure you complete this course under your (the parent) GMS number and not that of your child. Please check your contact details are correct.

3. On completion of the Safe Recruitment Form & Introduction to Safeguarding our Safeguarding Team will send you a link to commence the RFU DBS process.

You may already have a valid DBS, however only a RFU Enhanced DBS will be accepted at LIARFC

We will ask you complete the ID check with the LIARFC Club Safeguarding Officer.

4. Candidates will normally be asked to have an informal meeting with the Club Safeguarding Officer and the officer responsible for the recruiting decision.

5. Once your DBS is complete you will be notified and receive a certificate.
A DBS check does not legally expire, but organisations often request a new check every 1–3 years to ensure the information is current.
