It is always demanding running a rugby club and the 2020/2021 rugby season, in particular, has been difficult during unprecedented circumstances.

Over the past nine months, the executive committee has put their heart and soul into making sure the club runs smoothly & safely. We are also fortunate to have a tremendous group of over 150 passionate volunteers who were determined in the most trying conditions that players were supported and encouraged to attend coaching sessions whenever possible. You are a very important part of the club and you have my heartfelt thanks.

The generosity of members is commendable and the club is grateful for that continued support. Sadly, a few members passed away this year but they will always be in our thoughts.

The challenges this season have shown that taking care of our health is imperative and the staff at Hazelwood have worked tirelessly to implement the guidelines regarding health, hygiene, and social distancing to ensure our excellent facility is Covid-19 secure. Despite the restrictions, they have provided outstanding service. To all the staff at Hazelwood, thank you.

I feel proud and honoured to be President of this fantastic rugby club and so finally to all of our players, coaches, managers, volunteers, members, committee, valued sponsors, supporters, Hazelwood staff, and your families.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year! May it bring you joy, happiness and bring you closer to all those that you treasure in your heart.
