A huge well done to the players, coaches and parents of the London Irish Amateur RFC Under 5 & 6 squad, who wrapped up the season on a real high.
Since our first session back in September, the group has grown not just in numbers, but in confidence, ability and team spirit. Our Under 6s (Click here) proudly took part in the International Mini and U12 Festival 2025, playing up in the Under 7s category, and did themselves, their parents and the club proud. The coaching team couldn't be more pleased with their performance and positive attitude throughout.
This season hasn’t just been about firsts for the children. Several parents also took the brave step of crossing the tramlines, some eagerly, others with a little friendly persuasion, to become part of the coaching and management team. Despite the occasional chaotic Sunday morning, we all agree there’s a huge sense of pride in what’s been built together.
Head Coach Adam Williams and Team Manager Maryam Khorsandi-Evans would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Aimee Kean, Shane O'Neill, James Pengelly Marshall, Bryan Murphy, Padraig Fitzgerald, Andy Dickens, Linton Van Zyl, Can Erkan, Lucas Betes, Angus Allan and Sam Bentley-Thoburn for their incredible patience, energy and commitment to the team. As many professional players will tell you, their rugby journey started with the support of mums, dads and volunteers just like you.
As we take a well earned summer break, we’re already looking ahead. We are now actively recruiting for our Under 5 (Click here), 6 (Click here) and 7 squads (Click here) for the 2025/26 season, welcoming boys and girls who will be entering Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 in September. If your child is interested in joining, or you know someone who might be, please spread the word. Share your own experience and help us continue growing this special community — playing rugby, making friends and having fun along the way.
