A proud day for the Emeralds as our players represents Surrey on the Twickenham stage.

“This is a very proud moment for London Irish Emeralds. To have such a strong number of our players selected to represent Surrey at Twickenham is a fantastic achievement and says so much about the talent, work ethic and standards within the squad.
- Mary Fyfe - Chair of Women's Rugby

London Irish Emeralds will be proudly represented at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham tomorrow as Surrey take on Yorkshire in the Gill Burns Championship Final.

The Surrey squad features a fantastic contingent of Emeralds players, reflecting the strength, commitment and quality within our women’s section. To see so many London Irish players selected for a county championship final is a brilliant achievement for the individuals involved and a proud moment for the club.

Representing Surrey from London Irish are:

Emily Maguire, Tilly Poland, Liv Price, Madison Matthews, Alexandra Michail, Lauryn Walter, Abby Brassey, Sophie Roberts, Madeline Healey, Amy Howard, Rosie Blackburn, Skye Wilson, Henrietta Lowen-Cooper and Hari McCormack.

A special mention also goes to Alexandra Michail and Lauryn Walter, who have been named as Surrey captains for the final — a huge honour and a reflection of their leadership, standards and influence on and off the pitch.

The final takes place tomorrow, Saturday 6 June, with kick-off at 3pm at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, as Surrey face Yorkshire in what promises to be a fantastic showcase of the women’s county game.

Everyone at London Irish Emeralds is incredibly proud of our players selected and the way they continue to represent the club at county level. We wish Surrey, and all of our Emeralds involved, the very best of luck.

Supporters are encouraged to get down to Twickenham, wear the colours, make some noise and get behind the Surrey squad. This is a brilliant opportunity to support women’s rugby and celebrate a special day for the players, their clubs and the county game.

Good luck to Surrey — and especially to our Emeralds. We are all behind you.
