— bringing with it a wave of green, a strong sense of community, and, most importantly, plenty of mighty craic.

Players, coaches, parents, and—of course—our ever-energetic minis turned out in force, representing the club with pride and enthusiasm. For many of our younger members, this was more than just a parade; it was a chance to be part of something bigger, to celebrate Irish heritage in one of the world’s greatest cities, and to march ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’ with teammates and friends.

The atmosphere was electric from start to finish. Streets lined with supporters, music echoing through the city, and a shared sense of celebration made it a day to remember. London Irish brought its unique spirit—equal parts rugby grit and family warmth—right into the heart of the capital

If there were awards for smiles per mile, we’d have been strong contenders.
Events like this are about more than just a good day out. They showcase what grassroots sport and community clubs are all about: inclusion, identity, and connection. They also provide a fantastic opportunity to introduce new families to the club and to celebrate the rich 125-year heritage that underpins everything we do.

A huge thank you must go to the organisers for putting together such a fantastic event, and to London City Hall for supporting and championing this important cultural celebration. It was superbly run and a credit to everyone involved.

As we made our way back to Hazelwood—voices slightly hoarse and steps a little lighter—it was clear: the craic was indeed mighty, and London Irish had left its mark on the capital once again.

Kieran McSharry and James Riley.

To everybody else who supported us and facilitated our children to have a special day, thank you.
