Grove RFC Minis, based in Grove near Wantage in South Oxfordshire, are proud to once again attend the London Irish International Mini & Under 12 Festival. This year, the club will take its Under 7, Under 8 and Under 9 teams, with over 100 players, coaches and families travelling as part of a growing minis section.

Founded in the 1970s, Grove RFC has become a key part of grassroots rugby in the Vale of White Horse, known for its inclusive, community-driven approach. That same ethos underpins the minis section today, where enjoyment, development and teamwork remain central to every session.

After a fantastic experience in previous years, excitement has been building across the club. For many players, this will be their first large-scale rugby festival, offering the chance to test themselves against teams from across the UK and beyond while celebrating a season of strong progress. Participation continues to grow across all age groups, with increasing numbers of both boys and girls getting involved.

Tom Clipsham, Head of Rugby at Grove RFC and Under 7 Head Coach, said: “This is exactly what minis rugby is all about. The players have developed so much over the season, not just in their rugby skills but in confidence and teamwork. To finish the year at a festival like this is a brilliant experience, and we’re incredibly proud to be taking such a big group from Grove RFC.”
