It is with great excitement that we can announce that the London Irish Under 21 team is back again.

Over the past few months there has been a substantial amount of work put in place by Miriam and Kevin Brown in re-establishing the under 21 squad at London Irish. A once formidable outfit and essential stepping stone for youth players to progress into the senior squads at London Irish. The U21s also provides an opportunity for young players at university to come back to their underage club and meet up with old friends again.

London Irish Wild Geese captain, and U-21 coach, Scott Moore had this to say about the squad: "We’re very pleased to be back involved in the U21 league this season. It’s well known that many of our age group sides are among some of the best in the county with players going through years of development from excellent coaching at the club. We’re excited to welcome back some of these players who are now playing at their respective universities. In addition to this, we’ve got a number of players eligible who’ve been involved in the senior teams at the club for a number of years now."

While newly announced captain, Jack Brewerton, added: "It’s an honour to be named as captain of the U-21s after being at the club from a young age. There's a real buzz around London Irish at the moment and I can’t wait to get stuck in with the boys and bring back some silverware."

*PLEASE NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the opening U-21 fixture has been changed to a later date. Information regarding this fixture will be released shortly*
