Chair of Men's Rugby Joeseph Byrne noted "Jack Carty is a long-serving member and former player with our club, educated at St.Georges College. He played with the Wild Geese many moons ago, starting at nineteen years of age and played with the Geese for quite a long period of his rugby career as a very skilful backs player. His loyalty and support to the club over all his years has been outstanding and may it long continue"
