London Irish Wild Geese have today confirmed that Scott Moore will continue as Skipper for the coming season.

Wild Geese Director of Rugby, Eddie Fraher said “We are very proud that Scott will continue to lead the boys this season. He’s been excellent for us over the last few years. He’s given everything and more. On and off the pitch.

Scott has been a big part of of the changes we have sought to implement this summer and has worked as hard as anyone to get ready for what we hope will be a positive season for the club”.

Back rower Moore has been working hard already in preseason, starting against both Henley Hawks and Ruislip.

On his appointment, Moore said “I’m really proud to be leading the club again this season, last year was a tough one but the feeling now is very different. There’s a real buzz around the place and all of us are keen to get started in the league”.

Sean Cunningham has also been unveiled as Vice Captain. Head Coach, John Lacey commented “Sean has been a massive help since I arrrived and has been at the forefront of the changes we have made since May.

He’s got a great rugby brain and the boys respect him and Scott which is essential.

I’m really looking forward to working with both of them. They’re full of ideas and enthusiasm, we can’t wait to see them get out there running the show”.

Saturday’s fixture against Rosslyn Park Rangers will be a great opportunity to see them in action. Kick off at The Rock is at 12:30. See you there
