Starting School is a milestone for every child and family. It can also be the point in life where children make their first tentative steps into clubs and societies.
London Irish Under 5s (Mini Rugby - Click here) has been the entry into club sport for thousands of children down through the years. Some of those children went on to play at the highest levels of rugby (Click Here).
What ever your motivations as a parent or carer for getting your child into sport, rugby offers children of all sizes and gender the opportunity to participate and play (Click here). At London Irish Amateur we pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming environment for every player, parent and carer. Coupled to great facilities and qualified coaching we offer 4 weeks free trial period to allow your you and your child to determine if rugby is for you.
To join, simply register on our website and we will be in touch prior to the start of the season. Or you can just come down Sunday 7th of September 2025 at 10am (or any Sunday) and we can sort everything out then. We play on the 'Cabbage Patch' on the left hand side of the facility when you have your back to the club house (just ask the first person you see, they will be happy to help).

What if i am starting Year 1? Year 1 children play Under 6 who train with Under 5s (Reception) at the same location. For information on Under 6 (Click here).

What do i need on the first day? Suitable clothing for any outdoor activity and the weather on the day. We train outside. You'll find more information here (Click here)
