Dear Members and Supporters,

It is with real regret and disappointment that I must tell you the Town Hall on Wednesday 30 September has been cancelled.

We had hoped to hold a detailed discussion on the failure of the women's squad pre-season. However, an appeal process relating to the squad will not be heard before the town hall, and the cause of this further delay is totally outside the control of London Irish ARFC. We know this is short notice, but we too only had confirmation on Monday afternoon.

It is critical that the appeal process remains fully independent, and that nothing said by the Club, in fact or in appearance, that could prejudice its outcome. Protecting that integrity must come first.

We know many of you will want to hear about other aspects of the Club, and this matter does not undermine the fabulous start to the season or the other challenges the Executive Committee has faced since 2 July 2026. But the elephant in the room cannot be overlooked. We were elected on a transparency ticket and will honour that, but we cannot fall at the final hurdle on the disciplinary matter that has caused so much angst within our Club over recent months.

We will set a new date for the Town Hall as soon as possible and notify all members.
