The Wild Geese are back on the road on Saturday, travelling to fellow Surrey side, Dorking.
The squad enjoyed a good day on Saturday with the Geese getting their first league win, picking up a try bonus point too. The Wanderers also took the honours against an always strong Richmond Normans side, they too picked up a TBP.
Saturday's performance against Guildford was encouraging. The pack went really well, especially in the line out, with Hooker, Richie Townsend picked up four tries, with Joe Touma looking very strong. In the back line, Sean Cunningham returned to the starting line up and showed his quality from the off, while Ollie Turner continued to impress from Full back.
Director of Rugby, Eddie Fraher said "We're looking forward to the short trip to Dorking, this week. It's always a tough place to visit and we know we'll have to be on the ball from the start. The league positions mean nothing at this time of the year, it's way too early to make judgements based on that, and it's a Surrey derby...away!!
We're happy with how we have gone so far, we feel we can play for 80 minutes and despite being a new group, we're coming together really well".
Club Vice-Captain, Sean Cunningham added "I'm very excited about this week's game. Dorking are a team we have regularly met over the years, up and down the leagues. It's always been a hard place to go and win.
The result against Guildford last weekend felt like we are really starting to click as a team, it's important we carry this momentum into Saturday.
The support at Hazelwood was amazing, we could really feel the buzz around the place. We'd love to see as many of you as possible on Saturday".
Kick off is at 3.00pm at Dorking RFC, Kiln Lane, Betchworth, RH3 7LZ
