With RP winning the toss they decided to receive. From the kick off LI chased hard to challenge for the ball and were strong at the first breakdown, committing just enough players to ensure we got possession back. Good link up play by all the backs and fantastic line break by Robbie 1 min in left Kelan with a bit of work to do for our first 5 points and he delivered.

Next 15 min was played back and forth with some great skills especially with ball in hand but we struggled on the defensive element and with tired legs we conceded a try 5-5. RP tested our physicality and we played most of it in our 22, a few missed tackles and expansive rugby saw RP cross over for their second try 5-10 , that’s how the first half finished

We started the second half as we finished the first and even with some fantastic tackles from the boys we unfortunately conceded a try 4 min in and the score was 5-17

A penalty for a high tackle followed and a kick for touch got us within 5 meters of the try line. Winning the lineout a driving maul was formed and although we were on the move forward we lost possession. Not fazed and still camped in RP's 22 and some big tackles coming from our forwards we turned the ball over for Kelan too rack up his second 10 - 17. However this 7 point gap widened from some open play and a powerful counter ruck by park that they converted 10 - 24

Restart saw us again parked in there 22 with some great set play but just couldn’t cross the white wash. With the ball spilled RP countered and were certain to add more points until Jacob tracked back around 70 meters to bring their player down just shy of our try line and win us a scrum. Unfortunately this didn’t go our way and with numerous tackles we were not able to keep them back and they picked up another try 10 - 29.

With 3 min left on the clock and our boys not giving up we were treated to a "try of the day" from one side of the pitch the other with all 15 boys involved and Ollie S sniping his way over 1 meter out.

Game finished 15-29.
