What is Mini Rugby?

• Founded in the Avenue Sunbury in 1981, mini rugby is a category for players between 5 and 11 years of age.
• Standing on the shoulders of its fore fathers, London Irish rugby club was formed in 1898 as a home for Irish men in exile united by a sense of Irishness and passion for rugby.
• Today mini rugby has over 300 active players, supported by parents and volunteers acting as coaches, administrators and fundraisers.

What is the International Mini & U12 Festival?

• Running for nearly 4 decades the mini and U12 festival is an opportunity for European, Home Nations and Local clubs to play and compete against each other based on their age groups.
• Typically run on the last weekend of April, travelling teams use the festival as an opportunity to tour, solidifying friendships, meeting new people and playing rugby.
• Based at Hazelwood the home of London Irish we can accommodate up to 200 teams representing nearly 50 clubs on our 63 acre international grade training facility.

How can you get involved?

• The International Mini & U12 Festival can typically have 3000 to 4000, players, parents and guardians onsite, covering the NRS Social grade of ABC1.
• Previous organisations like Persil have used sponsorship of the festival to conduct product sampling.
• Other organisations like Jaguar have used product placement in strategic locations around the site.
• We welcome marketeers to be creative with the attendees of the event to reach their own objectives.

What do you get for in return for your support?

• Organisations have the opportunity to strategically position branding and merchandise around the site during the festival.
• You can establish a sales facility to conduct direct marketing to attendees.
• Positioning of your branding on festival literature, materials and communications.
• An association with one of the most recognized clubs in world rugby.
