18. Hazelwood Facility & Ground Rules

LIARFC would ask players, members, supporters and friends to be mindful of the rules of the Hazelwood facility.

As a members club we all have a duty to follow and ensure others follow these simple rules. The rules are their to keep us safe, respectful of our neighbors and to keep the facilities in good condition.

1. Dogs - No dogs allowed with the exception of assistance dogs. For further information please click here. Please remind any member or visitor that Hazelwood has a no dogs policy.

2. Parking - Hazelwood can be busy on certain days of the year when we host a number of visiting teams and festivals. On these occasions we ask members and visitors to:

  • Leave plenty of time to get to your pitch. Hazelwood is a large facility and the walk from the main gate can be up to 10 to 15 minutes to pitches 6 & 7 (The Paddock).
  • Respect and heed the advice of parking marshals. They are volunteers and we will not tolerate aggressive or threatening behaviour (there is no need for it).
  • Do not park on avenue leading up to the main gate, this could potentially block emergency vehicles.
  • Take the opportunity to park at the opposite end of the site Haliford village where you can and walk to pitches 5,6 & 7 (The Paddock) via School Walk (Click Here). Please respect neighbours and businesses by parking is a responsible manner.
  • Refrain from parking on parking on Croysdale Avenue (both sides) and Lyndhurst Avenue as these roads are narrow and home owners find themselves blocked in as they can't often swing out of their drive with cars parked on the kerb. Please use public parking facilities in the Lower Sunbury area (Click Here).
  • Reduce both yours and our Carbon Footprint buy walking, cycling or making use of public transport where you can. Click here to see Public Transport options.

3. Disabled, Blue Badge Parking & Facilities - Please respect the disabled facilities provided on site making sure they are available for the vulnerable members and visitors (Click here)

4. The Bar and Team Room (Club house)

  • No Boots in the Bar & Team Room - Remove Boots prior to entering the club house. Please put them in a bag or leave them outside to keep the facility clean for patrons. Note the floors are hard and players are at risk of fall or serious injury in boots.
  • Please return glasses to the bar and plates to the Kitchen on a busy morning, as this would really help the catering team.

5. The Grounds

  • Please do not enter or allow children to play on the first team pitch unless you are scheduled to do so. If you see people on the pitch unauthorised kindly ask them to leave.
  • Please do not use or allow children to play on equipment belonging to London Irish professional. Do not enter any storage or containers. Its not our equipment, it can be heavy and somebody could sustain an injury.
  • Please pick up all litter after training and matches. Please advise visitors to do the same.
  • We ask all players, coaches and supporters to respect officials and their decisions. Respect opposition players, coaching staff and supporters. Observe fair play on and off the pitch.
